Thank you to all who attended the CCTA's 2012 Annual Meeting at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center Hotel and Casino in San Juan! This was the largest Annual Meeting ever, with 414 people in attendance. The attendees represented 185 companies, firms, and organizations from 26 distinct countries and territories.

There was unanimous approval of this year's speakers and sessions, with "TV Everywhere" being the phrase most often heard. Four sessions were devoted to aspects of this topic, highlighted by presentations, demonstrations and discussions by cable operators, programmers, and technical experts. Other topics included security issues with digital cable systems, applications for photovoltaic power, and core fundamentals of service delivery. Another highlight of the Annual Meeting was Keynote Speaker Richard Dick of Development Consulting Center, who captivated the audience with his presentation on "The Winning Ways of Service Giants". We want to thank all speakers for sharing their expertise and viewpoints with Annual Meeting participants.

The Exhibit Hall, again the largest one ever, included displays from 104 different companies. The room was buzzing with conversations, as new and returning attendees visited the vendors. The final event of the Annual Meeting was the Auction of items donated by participants, with all proceeds earmarked for the 2012 Community Charities Program. Auctioneer Patrick Harrell of New Frontier Media kept the bidding lively, and at the end of the evening $10,980 had been raised from raffle ticket sales and auction purchases. The CCTA is so appreciative of all individuals who donated goods for the Raffle and Auction, and all those who bought tickets and items.

Congratulations to the newly-elected members of the 2012 Board of Directors: Chair Mike Carrosquilla; Vice Chair and Chair-Elect Beulah Jonis; Past Chair Raul Ponson; Directors David Burrows, Bill Ewing, Naji Khoury, and Terry Roberson; and Associate Directors Patrick Harrell and John T. Kurpinski, Sr.. The board will soon start planning this year's activities as well as next year's Annual Meeting.

Mark your calendars now for the 2013 Annual Meeting, which will take place at the Fairmont Southampton Resort in Hamilton, Bermuda from January 22 to 24. We hope to see you there (wearing Bermuda shorts, of course)!
