For many years now, the CCTA has held both Technical Training and Marketing Training sessions for the benefit of employees of our Active Members.  The training is provided free of charge to cable employees and is geared toward providing relevant, timely and challenging information to participants.  The CCTA relies heavily on its Associate Members to provide instructors for each session and assist with the development of training subject matter.  In recent years, the topics have included management training, customer service, new technology, equipment usage, etc.

In 2012 the Technical Training was held from August 14 to 16 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and attracted record attendance.  It was coordinated by Associate Director John T. Kurpinski, Sr., of Tarpon Communications.  The Board of Directors is very grateful to the following companies that provided instructors for the training:  Advanced Media Technologies, Arris, Aurora Networks, Choice Cable TV, CommScope, Incospec Inc., JDSU, and Triveni Digital.

The Marketing Training was held on August 16 in the same location, and was coordinated by Associate Director Patrick Harrell of New Frontier Media.  The Board of Directors is equally grateful to the following companies for their involvement in the Marketing Training:  Choice Cable TV, DigiMediaShop, Horowitz Associates, Innovative Communications, New Frontier Media, Tarpon Communications, and Turner Networks.  The Board would also like to recognize the generous sponsorship provided by Disney and ESPN Media Networks.
